I think I have disgraces myself to have gotten a lousy position for my 2.4km run today--no, not in the 100th position, definitely in the top half. (If I get bottom half, I might as well retake my Napfa to get a gold...)But as come to think of it, positions don't matter much for me, it's the time that counts. I'm confident of scoring an A for this (remember, I'm only 13, and my birthday is on the Farewell Party...), and I'm satisfied. :)
After that, I went cycling with Geraldine, Philine, Stephanie, Ms Sia, Cheng You, Clara, Suzanne, Jia Xin(my "twin". Same birthday.), Jason, Clinton, Min Xue, Jia Yu, Tessa, Adelina. $3 for 2 hours, somemore it's a mountain bike, definitely cheaper than Pasir Ris Park's, $5 for 1 hour...Even the teachers went cycling, how cool. Haha...
I shan't update more, since I'm very tired, and tomorrow's going to be a long day...

Kt: 29 July, Thursday
Happy birthday, Li Ting!
What the...I went to band room thinking there is sectional (after what Elaine told me.) and then there's none...But at least I finished my Maths there...haha...
I shan't blog much for today--my back is pain for no reason, and I've got my 2.4km run tomorrow. Hope I can get a time lower than last year's, say, 12.30min. I can't possibly waste my time trying to keep my stamina in tip-top condition all these while...(but then, I only trained for the 400m finals, not NAPFA!)
Good luck to all running 2.4km tomorrow. I shall stop here.

Kt: Today
I want to wish Dad a Happy Birthday, and may he be successful in his work...
Anyway, today was rather fun; well, the Student Council Investiture now introduces new councillors etc., but the best part was when they threw plane models, copter wings and bird models down from the stage and the 2nd floor. I got one from MinXue, haha...I still remember Silas quite "jealous" when he saw me with a "aeroplane"(he changed it to "birdplane" later.), haha, and JunLong said he had taked ChengHuat's helicopter, if it looks like a helicopter...
Haha...Well, maybe I shouldn't laugh, but sometimes, I can't help it...like today, I woke up with my back, stomach and legs aching all over--I hate the after-effects of the NAPFA 5 items! I'm going for a standing broadjump retry after doing badly yesterday--how are you going to do well if you can't bend your knees fully? A pain shooting up your body and what's next, an ache more severe than the first?
Yue Yang asked me what subjects I wish to take for sec 3, and we both want to opt for triple science and geography elective, what a coincidence. I asked Yu Sheng what he would take, and he kept asking,"You taking C Lit?" to anyone he met, how hilarious...I also asked Qing Fang (triple, history elec.),haha...Who wants to study everything about WWII? (Mervin, because of Hitler...)WWI is better.
I better go now, I have my wenshi to type, my maths weekend assignment and 10 design ideas to do, not forgetting my E Lit test tomorrow...I'm out of ideas for my D&T, and I don't fancy waiting till last minute then I finish my homework. I DON'T do last minute work--that's why I always seem to be the first to complete my holiday homework (I finished mine in 2 weeks' time, including research, want to compete?), haha...
" Never leave work till the last minute--you wil not be able to finish everything on time."

Kt: Concert in the Park yesterday
Wow, blogger has changed again, and it's better, I see...
Well, we had a concert in the park near Blk 138, and I must say, it wasn't that good although it was a success... The drizzle spoilt the day, but there's one good thing--I wasn't hot at all, haha...Maybe because I drank too much water (4 350ml newater bottles within 2 hours is exaggerating, isn't it?), haha...When I took the 4th bottle, Yu Sheng held out the last one in the pack and jokingly said,"Here's another one, please take it." Think I can drink that much? But it's amazing I didn't rush to the washroom frequently, haha...But I had to enlist the help of Yue Yang to help me open the bottles, soory about that, Yue Yang...
Anyway, when we gathered in the bandroom, Hong Wei was fuming mad, all because the sec 2 guys didn't help to load the instruments back to school but went off for dinner. He also dragged Elaine and I into the picture. It was the first time I've seen him so furious, but it reminded me so much of Henry's outburst, I was half-afraid that Hong Wei might become Henry II. I can understand how he felt, but it's no use getting angry over it, raising your voice and glaring at everyone like that...
Cheng Huat assured us that maybe they didn't know about that etc., and even broke into a smile when he said,"Why are you all looking at me like that? Just smile!" Then he and Henry led us into the 3-cheers and Give me an A-H-B-A-N-D! cheer, though it sounded half-hearted...
6 more days before the sec 4s are leaving, 6 more days to Band Day, 6 more days to announcing the 2004 to 2005 band committee, 6 more days to the sec 4 band com members leaving their posts to the sec 3s...I will miss the sec 4s..."Absence makes the heart grow fonder."It is true, and I treasure the time I have now with the sec 4s. I will make Band Day a deep imprint in my memory, and also the Farewell Party on 21 August. That day is a special day to me, and will always be a special day... ...
Anyway, I've just come back from dinner at Safra Tampines. I was really full to bursting after eating so much at Sakura International whatever; it's a wonder that I managed to walk and here I am! Well, there was this cat trying to "scratch" its body (more like releasing its scent...haha...) at the railings, so I just squatted down to look at it. I didn't notice what the cat was doing until it banged headfirst into me. I can't tell you how hard it banged, but it felt like some headbutt from a furry animal...poor cat. It's so cute, you know! I just have a soft spot for animals... :)

Kt: Founder's Day
A boring Founder's Day today, the only interesting parts were the fanfare, the singing and the performance...haha...
Well, I can't imagine that one year has passed...the sec 2s are in sec 3...haha...Do you take it for real? I'm just faking it; seeing the sec 2 fanfare guys wearing white pants gave me this impression, haha...
I chatted with WeiXiong before band started. I even requested him to try out the trumpet solo in Dancin Megahits' last song--it was really good. In the storeroom, I watched ChengHuat playing the alto saxophone--it amused me that he could actually play so well...also making me wish for sec 4 to arrive so that I can try all the instruments...yet I must wait patiently; I don't want to grow up so soon.
I guess I better stop here for today, but just one thing--to all band members, even if we didn't get a gold for SYF last year, please do not be disheartened. Next year is the year for us...WE CAN DO IT!!

Kt: founder's Day tomorrow
I've decided to use to nicknames: kris or kt. Is it all right? Well, if I 'm not wrong, I believe I will be able to score at least a B4 for my maths test today--it's quite easy to do, and I was still left with 10 mins when I finished it. Haha, it's either that I do quickly, or that the paper given is easy...
Well, I'm happy to say, I've be "demoted" from the class com. as the cleanliness coordinator; or rather, I gave up the post to Suzanne because it looks like I can't cope with it any longer. But I'll be glad to help out with the cleanliness of the classroom although I've resigned--my heart is still in the post even though I'm not in.
Anyway, I've changed the computer mouse to the roller type, which doesn't get stuck easily. What a relieve! Haha, if I'm not wrong, I stayed at the corridor during the whole of 1st recess listening to the fanfare group singing the school song. I do not like to mention how they fared, but as I am a very straightforward person, I'll just say that they sung badly. They sound like there is a majority of guys and it's very monotonous. If I've hurt anyone's feelings, forgive me...
I just realize that today is the band SYF day from last year, when we got a silver...

Kristin: Band today & yesterday
I just realised that blogger has changed, but it really is kind of weird and funny...haha...
Hey, yesterday's band was really interesting. Well, I think ChengHuat was being "nice" to the band, inviting people who didn't know how to conduct to come out and conduct 'Livin La Vida Loca'. The people were Xiao Feng, Mervin and Andrew. I think my hands were "itchy" to try and conduct the band, but never mind, fat chance for me.
As for today...well, I guess I'm finally getting a hang of what is called using warm air to blow your instrument. To prove it, I emptied a lot of water from my slides today, something which has never happened before, haha...
I think 'Japanese Graffiti IV' is a very nice piece, very emotional and flowing. It nearly melted my heart when I first heard this song, and I felt like crying my unhappiness out. But I'm not that emotional as to cry that easily, so please don't take me as a weak girl. To tell you the truth, I may look weak on the outside, but I am tough on the inside. My mental strength is very strong...well, who wouldn't be, after what I have had been through all this while.
I shall stop here and go and bombard my sister's neopets account...:p

Kristin: Sectionals
We had sectionals today taken by Andrew, but mostly, Elaine and I were taught by HongWei. I think I prefer his lecture than him teaching us how to emphasize etc., haha...very interesting lectures about the pieces we are supposed to be playing for Bedok park, National Day and El Minstrel VI...too bad we have to include 'Thunders and Blazes' and 'Festival March' for El Minstrel...I simply dislike playing these songs!:(
Well, who cares, as long as 'African Symphony' isn't included. This song is nice, but I break my embrochure easily for prolonged periods, haha. Fast songs aren't for me, or you can say, songs with repeated notes aren't for me. I break my embrochure easily, which I don't understand why...
My D&T is now 3/4 finished, but I'm afraid I still have my wen shi to do, so I will still be disturbing this computer until I've finished my research. Of course, I'll still use it, but only on weekends, where I'm allowed. Who cares, I can still live without using the computer! But I cannot live without music; music is part of my life!

Kristin: Junior Band
Today's junior band went off quite well; as usual, my two juniors are full of nonsensical jokes and stories...
Well, I spent most of my time drawing my comic for the environment competition, and still managed to find time to finish my chinese and D&T homework. The only thing I've forgotten was to study my life-science notes, but not to worry, I've read it 4 times during the June holidays, so at least I can remember most of the facts...haha...
Well, seeing ChengHuat playing the percussion makes me envy the sec 4s; I want to try all the instruments!!! But I guess I have to be patient and quietly wait till I'm sec 4 before I go mad...haha...Well, I've glanced at the band prac. list-->the Farewell Party really is on 21 August. You've guessed it, it is a special day to me. No, not Roy's birthday (his birthday is on 13 March, months before mine, haha...)... Still can't guess? Wait till the appropriate time then I'll tell you!:)
I think I better go now--Dawn is waiting for me to fill the pages! Nothing much happened, so I won't be talking much about the day.
"It is very rare for a person to be totally pure, both physically and mentally." Haha, I am a very pure person, but I am not totally pure mentally, only 99.99%...

Kristin: Rainy Day
Happy Birthday, Cheng Huat! I'm back again after doing my wenshi research halfway. I'm researching on Tang Dynasty's poet, Du Pu, since I can't think pf anything today anyway...
I really envy those performing the fanfare for Founder's Day--not only did they get to rehearse during recess, they can earn more CCA points as well...Not that I really want to blow my lungs out...haha...but at least I can skip PE for one period... :)
If I'm believe I'm not deaf, I remember TingTing once mentioned that the Farewell Party will be held on 21 August. Tell you what, 21 August is my favourite day of the year, because it is a very special day. Smart people will be able to guess why, unless they refuse to crack their brains and think. I shall not say, you will know sooner or later...haha...
I shall stop here for today, good night!

Kristin: J.Lo's birthday today
Hey, it's JunLong(aka J.lo)'s birthday today! Happy Birthday To The 2003-2004 Tuba SL of AHBand!!!!! J.LO, YOU ROCK!!!!! haha...
Anyway, I've finally finished my D&T research, though I feel that I could have done a better job. I didn't understand what to do, but who cares, I can still do some more after Mr Lim has given his comments. I only have around 14 lessons before the exams start, then no more D&T for the next 2 years! Haha...
Well, come to think of it, I realized that I have had competed in several events and contests this year. First, the Reader's Digest Pen Awards, the Family Recipe Creative Writing Competition, then the Sports' Day, later the Environment project competition, it's quite something for me, since I've never taken part in these many competitions in one year! Ordinary me has now led a rather active Sec 2 life, haha..
I better go now, I must familiar myself with my spelling, read my book and continue my writing for Sports' Day. I'm writing a book FOR MYSELF on every thing, every exciting memory and event that has happened. I think it's great that when I reach 18, I'll be able to read about my own events, my past, about me...

Kristin: Sports' Day
I'm back at last, yet I haven't started on my research. Whatever, I'll do it later...
Well, today's Sports' Day was really exciting, and to my surprise, I managed to get 6th in position for 400m C Division girls. I thought I was last, but then, at the last 100m, I speed up and sprinted to the finishing line. It was quite an achievement considering that it was the first time I've joined a Sports' Day event. It looks like all the sport CCAs and Chinese Drama are faster than me; I guess I must have beaten St John and English Drama. It is all thanks to my will to finsh the race and my promise to do it for the people who supported me for today's race. Yet most importantly, I did it for Vivor, who died this morning...at least he had lived for more than one year...(from an egg to a frog takes one year.)
I've decided not to talk about it as I don't want to increase the gloomy atmosphere surrounding me. To carry on with Sports' Day, we didn't get last for any event, what a relieve. If I'm not wrong, 4x400m B boys, 4x100m B and C girls, 4x100m B boys-4th; Jeryl-400m C boys 2nd last, Ginny-200m B girls 4th, Elisa-100m C girls 3rd, ChengHuat-400m B boys 1st, Henry-1500m B boys 3rd last, HongWei-100m B boys 3rd, Bryan-200m C boys 2nd last, WangZi-B boys discus 1st, Joel- C boys discus 3rd. If I ever made any mistakes, I apologize for that because I can't remember everything.
After Sports' Day ended, Concert Band ran around the track in the drizzle while carrying the banner, then NCC joined in halfway. I was so tired that I reduced to a jog. After that, we did the Bandship Dance. I was so exhausted from all the singing and cheering that I'm amazed that when I reached Changkat Primary, I still have the energy to talk to WeiRui and friends we met there, haha...
We met ZhongTing, QiQin, Willfred, Shawn, Hejun, Heather, Melissa and Clara and Michelle, Fuzaina, Azyan, Kelly. Haha, for people who know ZhongTing, remember to call him "little brother" in Chinese to tease him, because the icecream seller in the canteen asked him, "Little boy, what do you want?" Haha, Wei Rui and I had been teasing him that, and his glare was really funny...haha...Willfred is still the same old guy, though he said, "That's Roy's drawing behind you." It is Roy's Primary 5 giraffe mosaic on display. Haha...how interesting...
The 6A classroom is really colourful, where the tables are decorated with pictures and drawings. It'so no wonder 6A won the most decorated classroom award. 6A rocks!!!!! YAY!!!!!
I better go now. Haha...tomorrow's JunLong's birthday...HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY, J.LO!!!!!

Kristin: Learning the Cheers
We learnt the cheers for tomorrow's cheerleading competition for more than an hour (I reached home at 7.10pm.). Wow, I received a sarcastic "how early" from my mum. Amazingly, I managed to finish my dinner in less than 30 mins and my written homework. I'm now on to my D&T which I simply dislike--research, research and more research...
I was slightly amused at ChengHuat's attempt to keep up and remember the dancesteps the sec 3s are dancing. It was really comical, but I didn't laugh much--I was listening to the hip-hop song and it was really perverted and disgusting, with all the bad words sprouting out etc. How irritating...
I better go now, but I shall update on Sports' Day tomorrow.

Kristin: Updating Events
I am back again after doing a bit of D&T research, my Maths weekend assignment and my practical workbook (I didn't bring today, so I had to finish at home.). All I can say about my book quiz is: I have passed.
Well, I managed to feed Vivor with my sister's help last night. She caught a flying ant, and the poor ant was placed right on top of his nose, which Vivor then ate. Erm...people who have watched the dissection of the frog at Mavis Tutorial (I think.), can you please don't frighten my frog? Thanks...
I couldn't believe my eyes when I found out that I had been down for finals on Sports' Day. I think I'm going to laugh when I can be in the top 6 positions--competing against 4 sports CCA isn't my cup of tea...
As long as I'm not last, I'm very happy. :)I realized that the number of band finalists are larger than last year's, how amazing...
Anyway, I admit that I'm really looking forward to the Changkat Primary open house this coming Saturday. It's held in the new building, and what's more, 6 storeys to climb...haha. I think, people like QiQin and YueYang might say that I'm excited for another reason...I'm not saying why...(I can't wait to try the food! HAHA!!!:p)
Alright, I'm stopping now to have my dinner and then practise the piano. I'm improving as the days passed(???), and I'll soon be taking my Practical somewhere in September; my Theory will be in November. I'm hopeful that I can achieve another Merit for Practical and another Distinction for Theory, which is...not impossible of course!

Kristin: Success
I sucessfully managed to feed Vivor when I caught an ant while rollerblading with WeiRui yesterday. He just suddenly snatched the ant and it was gone. The problem is, how am I going to find the time to catch ants? After school?
Anyway, we had a most energizing PE lesson today--25 pushups, situps, burpies, rangers and jumping jacks, after 7 mins of jogging. Can you imagine how exhausting that was? What's more, I had a little knee pain...
Well, nothing much to say, except that I may be giving philosophies after every entry from now. Here's one:
"Believe in yourself, no obstacle can obstruct your way." Haha...

Kristin: Vivor's Obstinacy
Vivor is just so stubborn! He won't eat the food I've bought at Pet Safari yesterday, guess I just have to result to catching insects for him...and I mean LIVE insects!
Anyway, today is Youth Day celebration, so we have no school today. I've decided to spend the day revising my ecology chapters for my common tests next week and learn my Chinese spelling for tomorrow. I've been learning and re-learning my spelling until I believe I could have memorized everything on that particular chapter.(Which I doubt so.)
There's nothing much to update about, so I guess I'm off to play with Vivor and try persuading him to eat. He hasn't eaten for 2 days! Unless he can catch food on his own, I'll have to find some insects and feed him. I wonder how am I going find live ones since I have never held any insect I dislike before. Let me tell you this, for those who have "amphibian-phobia", Vivor isn't scary at all--he's very tiny and cute, and I've stroked his back many times. He seems to like it, I guess.
I shall end here.

Kristin: Science Centre
Biotechnology is really interesting (though I would prefer pond life...), since we can tell if someone has dominant genes or recessive genes just by studying the hair patterns, the earlobes, and what the tongue can do. I think I'm dominant, but then, when I tasted the PDC, there was no taste at first, then it tasted a bit bitter. All I tasted was paper, haha...
Anyway, I now have a pet frog! It's really small, around the size of my little finger. Cute frog...and no, it's NOT for eating frog's legs, you blood-sucking murderers! Eating frog's legs...how absurb! I NEVER eat frog's legs, and I WON'T!!!!! >:(
The frog is mine, and I will not let it die so easily in just a few days. I guess I will go to Pet Safari and get some tips on how to keep frogs...haha...The frog's name is Vivor, and I name it after "survivor".
Let's see...ChengHuat is really funny when he has this embarrassed smile, haha...I didn't comment on this! It was QiQin! Haha, I kind of agreed with her...Well, Elaine, Tingting, Yujie and QiQin yelled, "Cheng Huat jia you!" and he put on this smile, as if embarrassed...haha...for no reason...forgetting to bring his pencilcase and borrowing from Torrance...
I guess I will stop writing that to prevent creating more embarrassment for him...Anyway, if I'm not wrong, until now, no one has discovered that I have a blog (except for Jason, who peeked into my homework diary when I wasn't looking. He didn't know the website though, haha.). Let them find out themselves!

Kristin: Thursday's Fun
It's me again! I'm just doing my unfinished "My Family Recipe" essay, and it was a disaster, at least, to me. I kept asking around what they think a family recipe means, and all gave different answers...Finally, I asked Mr Smith, and he also gave me an answer which I thought was logical and appropriate...
Er...WangZi, if you are reading this, why is my draft "chim"? I don't find it so, but you've obviously read the wrong draft, haha. 40 push-ups, I would rather jog around the stadium 40 times than do 40 push-ups. WeiXian, if I can kill you for repeating those same mistakes again and again, I can, and I will...(oh no! A murderer on the loose! Haha...:p)
Better go now, or my essay will never finish. And, WangZi, if I win the top few prizes (which I doubt so.), I WILL NOT treat you, haha... $10,000 to be won, fat chance...I'll be filthy rich by then! No, "clean" rich...haha...
