Teacher's Day

Happy Teacher's Day! Hey, I'm really glad to be in my primary school again! To see the familiar faces and the surrounding of the new school, it's a joy! Ahem, for those who are "sick in the mind", I never said I'm happy to see this guy again...(for those who don't understand what I'm talking about, better not ask...)

Well, I've asked Fatin, Melissa, Roy and Wei Rui to go to the Esplanade concert. Haha, I asked Roy to go to the Esplanade concert, and Qi Qin even "forced" Roy to record the dates for Esplanade concert and El Minstrel VI in his handphone, I guess he has no choice but to go! =p Hope he is free on both dates...hehe...

I love my school! Hip-hip hurray!=p

Kt: Band today

I'm back after having not blogged in here for a long time...haha...I guess, things are turning for the better for my results--so far, I've 4 As and 1 B (from what I know), and I'm very happy to say that the B is my HCL results (the first time...), haha...

Well, we had drills this morning, and I must admit, I nearly fell and worsen my knee when doing ranges--as you can see, my knee muscle(or is it ligament?) is slightly damaged and I can't apply pressure when I'm bending it fully. So...I was nearly crying out in pain at that...But then, a game of table-tennis with some guys from band was really fun--I'm sorry to say that I applied some "badminton skills" to my game...=p

I better go now and finish up my homework, at the same time, make cards for teachers...bye!

Kristin: Farewell Party

The Farewell Party was very memorable--during sectional talk, tuba and euphonium sections sang a birthday song to me because it was my birthday yesterday. Thanks, guys...I even recieved a present from Bryan, thanks a lot!=)

Haha...the videos were very hilarious, much more hilarious than the speeches by some sec 4s(I'm not naming who.). Yue Yang singing in a high-pitch voice...he's going to "kill" me one day, oh yeah. Haha...I couldn't believe it that the farewell song was composed by Jing Yi and Isabel Tan--excellent job, seniors! I hope the next Farewell Party song isn't going to be another composed one--if so, Andy, Jarred please, haha...=)

I shan't write much, although there a some extra information you may want to know--1) Huai Ping doesn't know what crotchets and minims etc. are, but if you play a song with solo for him, he can play it well.[Xiao Feng's info.], 2) Cheng Huat smuggled chewing gum from Malaysia in sec 2(the KL band exchange trip), that's how he became the BM; he was very playful at in sec 2. [name is a secret] Hehe...=)

I remember that when we girls were in the washroom, suddenly, the lights went off. I didn't scream nor panic--I just looked at the time on my watch. The culprit was said to be Mervin. I went out and told the guys I didn't scream at all, and Wei Theng even told me which switch to off the lights. I was kind of being persuaded to switch off the lights by Yu Sheng and Wei Theng, but I didn't do it.=)

I shan't blog more, bye!

Kt: My birthday today

Well, I receieved presents from Xin Hui, Geraldine, Wei Rui, Stephanie, and Jason. Thanks for the presents, guys!

Finally, the Farewell Party is today! Yay! Haha, it's going to be so memorable for me and the sec 4s...How lucky can one be on one's birthday, especially since one is also celebrating a CCA's Farewell Party in a hotel...=) I'm not exactly 14 yet--I was born in the evening...hehe...-_-

I need to do my homework, so I shall stop here--I'll continue tomorrow. OFF I GO!!! =)

Sec 4s, we'll miss you...

Kt: In school

Haha...I'm now blogging in school, from Summer Concerto lab. Well, I hope I am not considered late today, because I missed the anthem and pledge--I accompanied Yi Jia to the washroom because of her thing...It's the first time I missed the anthem and pledge though...I hope Ms Sia will understand...

But anyway, I am now taking this chance to visit this blog of mine and Wei Rui's (whom I've never heard from her for a long time...). Hehe, tomorrow's my birthday, and i can't wait for the Farewell party tomorrow! I'm giving my section chocolates, alright!

Gotta go now, bye!

Kt: Rehearsal

Today's entry is the shortest, but anyway...The rehearsal is really awful...I would rather go for the Farewell rehearsal instead...Anyway, I really must try to finish my homework on time--I'll be meeting Xin Hui tomorrow as she wants to give a birthday present to me, how thoughtful of her...=)

I shan't blog much, and no philosophy today. Good night.

Kt: Too much homework?

Hehe, not that much homework as I thought, although I have not finished my Maths weekend assignment Chapter 11...I went home worrying about the inability to complete my homework for nothing...what a waste of cells...=)

Bullseye!, for today is the day where I burnt the most calories for the week. I ran up and down during recess, looking for my juniors and Andrew, and wasted precious time where I could have done my homework instead...In the end, I waited after school and handed the money and cards to Andrew. I sure did burn a lot of calories today! (I could have done it during PE...) And what's more, I have confidence of getting a gold for my Napfa test for the 5th year running! Well, what do you expect, a silver? No way! I got a 48 for sit-and-reach after having not done any yoga for a year, what a miracle...the highest in class together with Geraldine...hehe...

Happy belated birthday to Ysabel, Christie & Christa!

Kt: =)

Funny title, hehe... :) Anyway, I shan't blog much, just want to say, you can visit this friendship website for fun if you want to: http://www.abundantfun.com/poems/poemsfriend.html . Nice friendship poems, if you want to know...

I've finally remembered the tune of the song for The Day; it just came to my head out of the blue when I stepped into school this morning! haha...

Kt: Cheryl's birthday

I shan't be long, since I 've got to go and wash my shoes and practise the scales, pieces etc. on the piano...I think I'll do it at around 3.30pm...
My sister's birthday today, and 1 week later...IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! And it happens to be on the Farewell Party, which makes it even more memorable... ... How special 21 August 2004 is...haha...

Hehe, Festival March is different from other marches--in fours, not that fast (sounds like allegro-moderato) and nice. Japanese Graffiti IV is still very nice, and Yorkshire Ballad sounds nicer than before...nice, nice, nice, everything's nice, what about mice? :) haha. The Junior Band is now part of the main band since yesterday, no more Wednesday practices...nothing to look forward to on Wednesdays...*jeers*

Friday the 13th was yesterday, and it was an "unlucky" day for Yu Sheng--he dropped his slide on 23 December 2003...8 months already then QM mention...-_-
I'm so looking forward to music lesson on Monday, Ms Lee rocks! Keyboard playing, oh yeah!*punches the air*

Kt: Lisabelle's Birthday

Happy Birthday, Lisabelle! Anyway, I'm typing VERY slowly, because I've just sneaked into the computer again, and I'm TRYING to see through the translucent keyboard cover...

Anyway, I guess I better keep this entry short. I was ticked off by Andrew for talking when announcements were made. It wasn't my fault; Wang Zi got me and Joel into "trouble". But I pretended it was my fault, and I will be myself in 5 minutes. I don't get angry, nor sad, for long, although it depends on my mood. I forgive but never forget, because these memories are important to me. I remember events clearly, as if they had just happened yesterday, or even an hour ago.

I guess I'll stop here for now to practise my scales. How tough can they be?, one may ask. Very tough for first-timers; tough if you want perfect scales (no mistakes). I grade it as so-so, since I've been practising them for 9 months. Not perfect though... -_-

"Practice may not make perfect--everyone makes mistakes, even minor ones." hehe, funny philosophy...

Kt: ABRSM Practical exam

Oh, now I've finally gotten the HTML, how cool...Haha, I'm back, after sneaking into the computer when Cheryl is out rollerblading and playing badminton, and mum not knowing what I'm doing in the room... *sneaky grin*

Well, I've just recieved the letter for my ABRSM grade 6 practical exam date. It's on 7 September, Tuesday. If I'm not wrong, I only have less than 4 weeks left to practice my scales and pieces. I'm thankful I've made good progress through my daily practice (except when I reach home late after school or when I'm busy), although my aural still sucks in the memory-singing, otherwise I'm alright. Thanks to tons of band practices, my sight-singing has improved tremendously, and my sight-reading is better than before. This is the outcome of joining band, and I've never regretted choosing concert band as my 1st choice CCA.

3 days straight to stay back in school for band (and the teacher's day audition tomorrow), how interesting. I can't wait! :) Well, tomorrow's Lisabelle's birthday if I'm not wrong, so HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY, LISABELLE!!!!!

Kt: 8 August 2004

Hey, how come I'm the only one blogging in here...where's Wei Rui, that busy girl...haha...She's very busy, I know, but hope she can find some time to come to the Esplanade outdoor concert on World Trade Centre day...haha...I hope we won't be playing 'United Nations' March', else we also get terrorist attack...(Mona's joke, haha...I personally felt the same ...)*Did I just here some jeers and "touch wood"s?* :p

Hehe, enough of this 911 event, or my "prediction" will come true...Alright, National Day's tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to watching the NDP on tv...I LOVE SINGAPORE!!!!! I'm so patriotic...haha...Well, I haven't done my art homework, nor have I fully read my spelling and idioms. I better finish my art tonight, and I'll start on my HCL today, idioms and Science revision tomorrow, D&T on Tuesday. 3 days straight with band, I don't think I have the time to study unless I've finished my homework in school.

Farewell Party coming in 13 days'time, and my birthday too...I wonder what will Wei Rui and Xin Hui get for me, and who remembers my birthday. Never mind that, it's not important. And I've got more important things in mind to bother about my birthday...I will bother about it on the day itself. :)

I will be going to Pasir Ris Park at 4 pm, then to East Coast to watch fireworks. Any snacks for me to nick? Hehe, I suddenly have a ravenous stomach these few months, I wonder why...

Kt: Sick at home

I didn't go for the dance prac. today, sorry, Yu Jie. I had to visit the doctor--throat infection, runny nose, phlegm...I even got an MC to prove it. (what for, I don't even have PE next week!)

I guess Wen Jia and Xin Hui found this blog--see their messages on the tagboard? Wen Jia is the 1st AHS (and band) person to find out, congrats! Haha...Forever my ex-OG leader... :) Xin Hui still rocks, hehe...Wei Rui too...

National Day is coming...I've finally finished my written homework too. Completed in 2 days...am I a capable person/ nothing-to-do freak/ simply hardworking student/ a good time-planner? Feel free to choose and rate from any option above. :p

I still have my spelling and idioms to read, science and D&T test to study. I better start doing it now; it took me ages to work hard and pass my class test to drop out of chinese remedial, and I won't fail the HCL common test coming in 2 weeks' time, not if I can help it.

I shall stop here to read this very funny and lame comic my sister has borrowed--<> No philosophy today since I can't think of any.

Kt: NDP

It was quite a success, but not very good still...I couldn't hear the melody, and I haven't recovered from my flu. In fact, now I feel worse than ever, though my appetite increased...haha...

I may be skipping tomorrow's dance practice--I doubt I'll be able to stand the cold nor the heat. With the sinus flowing "ever so freely" since Wednesday, I can't stop it. It felt like when I ran a fever last semester. Outstandingly terrible feeling of illness overwhelming me with tireness and sorethroat isn't my idea of getting well, and I wish it will go away so that I can play my instrument better. I have been playing rather badly, and I couldn't even play much yesterday; Andrew threatened to disallow me from playing today if I didn't play yesterday. But it made my already sick self worse than before--Andrew could have taken my life through this threat had I not mustered up what's left of my strength to play.

I'm chatting MSN with Xin Hui and Wei Rui, haha.... Well, Jeremy is worse than ever, teasing me about Roy for the whole morning. Even Yu Sheng wondered who Roy is...Hey, Yu Sheng, if you ever read this entry, not all Chung Cheng High sports' class people are bad--Roy's very nice and helpful. (How else would he become the assistant head prefect in primary school?)

My birthday is coming...on the day of the Farewell Party...any gifts from anyone? :p haha...I'll be happy if people remember...

Kt: Back again

Today was another NDP rehearsal, and I left at around 3.30pm for my piano lesson, which started at 5.45pm. Mrs Phoon is really unpredictable at times when it comes to the time for piano lessons! :)

Well, even after being the ASL, I am still the same old me, very little change. We learnt about character for CD today (changed to Friday's timetable), and for loyalty, out of 5, I rated myself as 5. Look, if you sarcastically snort at this, I suggest you better try to know understand me first before you make any comments. Very few people know me well, because I am a very secretive person who reveals little about me, unless I trust someone. :)

I am a very loyal person, just like a dog. I would even sacrifice myself just to save anyone close to me, like Wei Rui and Xin Hui and my family. This is not called courageous; this is faithfulness. That's why my favourite animal is a dog, and these two friends up there sometimes say I represent a dog, haha... thanks guys. :)

Tomorrow, there's junior band, and I'm looking forward to teaching my juniors, who are the lamest guys I've ever known. Both of you better do well, or I'll make life hell for you. Haha, just you wait.

Band Day -->31 July, Saturday

I stayed in school for the whole day to help decorate the bandroom for Band Day and to clean-up and arrange the chairs etc. It was the most memorable day this year, and I hope it will continue to be for the rest of my life...

I shan't talk about what happened in the afternoon, except that Mr Savino, the Italian conductor, was quite comical in trying to tell us what he meant. At least I learnt some Italian words, haha...I was really impressed by his playing of the clarinet--even I can't play that fast on the piano! (I know how to play the first song he and his wife played for us, haha...)

Band Day 2004 was the most memorable event for the band, besides being the band's birthday, it was also the handover ceremony. To my outmost surprise, I was made the ASL of my section, Andrew being the SL and DM. Jun Long said that I could conduct etc. (I didn't listen much anyway, can't hear.), and when I asked Wang Zi how I became the ASL, he said that I could teach my juniors well. Haha, I push them very hard to do their best and keep the tradition of the junior band tuba section being the best section.

To summarise the whole event, I'll just continue from where I've stopped: Yu Sheng, SL & assis. treasurer; Mervin, ASL; Jeryl, NYAA & ASL; Yue Yang, assis. librarian; Steffi, ASL & assis. GIC; Wei Theng, ASL & AQM; Shi Yun, ASL & AQM; Qi Qin, assis. UIC; Shu Juan, SL; Estella, SL & librarian; Hui Min, ASL & librarian; Karen, NYAA; Xin Ting, treasurer; Jennifer, SL; Lisabelle, SL & QM; Jing Yi, SL & ABM; Jun Jie, BM; Bao Ying, GIC; Christie, SL & CM; Koh Shing, ASL; Pei Qian, SL; Ginny, UIC. If I'm wrong, feel welcome to correct me--I can't possibly remember everyone and get them correct, can I? If I can, my memory is good for remembering important events (why isn't it my studies instead?...).

Being an ASL is really a big surprise for me, because I wasn't expecting it at all. But, I promise to push my juniors to the extend of giving up, haha...Without pressure, they can never do well. I never scold them (after millions of experience and the feeling of it.), and I never will.

Well, I congratulated those sec 2 com. members, and realized that I voted for Yue Yang during the band com nomination. Haha, it's good that he got in...same old guy, not much change in character... :p
