Pfft. In my honest opinion, I too would rank Elly's first and Kenjirou's second. Namely because of the presentation. Also I'd take the bear more than flowers, haha. And that bear Elly had was really cute haha. The surprise was pleasant too.

I think Gun-chan wants a more private date, but he's really bad at presentation, hence his ranking. Naoto's gesture is cute but again, your presentation. He sounded like the kind who would just say "Are you free on Christmas Eve? Let's go DisneySea." (I know for sure I'll check my schedule and immediately agree.) And Naoki...I really appreciate his kind, thoughtful and wordless gestures. I'm certain conversations with him will also be deep, just the way I like it. ^^

I believe it's just me, but now that I have been exposed to how couples behave in Japan (and listening my friend's observations), I sincerely think that my expectations are definitely higher. Not in terms of looks, but in terms of conversation. Please, let us not bore each other to death with meaningless conversations. I prefer to enlighten myself and keep an open mind.

I mean, I now understand that Christmas Eve in Japan is for couples, and I certainly am not complaining about NaoNao, but really, am I the only one who thinks that way???

Everyone's harping on the "Yeah two guys went to Disney Sea together on Christmas Eve is there a problem?" while I interpret it as "The discrepancy here is that Tigger is big and Sully is too small."

Unless Naoto is playing with fans. Yes, I can see it that way too =.=

I knew Naoki invited Gun-chan to audition for 3JSB as a performer, going so far as to tell him he'd take responsibility for Gun-chan. Because Gun-chan was already offered a very good job before he graduated. But Naoki encouraged him to audition for 3JSB, so Gun-chan rejected the job offer to be an entertainer. Not an easy decision, really.

The early days when they first debut were uncertain, they never knew whether they'd make it big. That's why, when I read what Naoki said back then, I had never been so happy for 3JSB's current success. 5 years to achieve what they have today. You're my source of inspiration, guys.

Gun-chan's success is all because of his own hard work, and because of Naoki. His birthday message to him on Instagram? Benefactor. Damn, Gun-chan, someone who knows how to be grateful, is a good person indeed. ^^

Our fanboard is done! Well, except for the messages. But yes, I'm quite proud of it - I contributed at least 60% to the making, mind you. (I got quite prissy about the contribution, but I had to keep reminding myself my materials were rotting away in my cupboards, so this was a good chance to use them.)

Yes I did that NaoNao combi on purpose. It fit. Coincidentally. I also tried to do a Yokosuka combi. Keiji's was a reference to his movie. Vocalists were put together. The main Exile performers were also put together. Hiro was the power button. The newest Exile members made up the icons.

We planned it.

It worked.

Hope they manage to see it.

Idol/Artist musings

I can't emphasize just how much I respect Hiro for not having the no-dating rule in LDH. Especially in the idol industry (both Japanese and Korean) where male and female idols are not allowed to date or get married lest they destroy the "pure image" that fulfills their fans' fantasies.

At the same time, because of their idols, somehow I think their standards and requirements of a partner can be really ridiculous?

Once again, thank you LDH for NOT having the no-dating rule for your talents. They are free to date whoever they like. It's their personal lives after all. It has been EXPLICITLY stated several times that LDH does not interfere in their personal lives outside work. (I believe they don't encourage relationships among colleagues for fear of relationships interfering with work. Otherwise you'll see some Exile Tribe members frolicking with E-Girls already. By the way, E-Girls are like their sisters.)

Hiro himself got married, and Matsu is engaged. I'm in the "whoever snags them are lucky and you better treasure them as much as they treasure you" camp because I know some of the members want to settle down and start a family.

Go for it, I'll continue to support you. Ignore the crazy fanatics. (Sadly, 3JSB does have more crazy fans compared to the other groups. Behave yourselves, you nincompoops.)

I'll never refer them as idols. They aren't. They're professional artists. They don't rely on mere looks. They're talented and they work hard to improve themselves. Go LDH!

And found out about Naoki being hospitalised and on temporary hiatus - no strenous exercise, no dance, in early 2012.

I knew he was hospitalised during the period when Go My Way was released. I didn't know when, or how long.
